Product characteristics of cross-linked cables
Source : Tianxing Cable | Release date : 2024-04-22
The aging life of cable insulation materials mainly depends on their thermal aging life, which is affected by the rate of chemical reactions such as thermal oxidation, thermal cracking, thermal oxidation cracking, and condensation. Therefore, the thermal aging life of insulation materials directly affects the service life of cables. According to the derivation of chemical reaction kinetics and artificial accelerated thermal aging test, the long-term allowable working temperature of irradiated cross-linked cables (20-30 years) is:
Power cable YJV 0.6/1KV 1160 ℃
Aerial insulated cable JKLYJ 10KV 1220 ℃
If derived based on an additional working temperature of 105 ℃, its thermal aging life spans 60 years; If calculated based on an additional working temperature of 90 ℃, its thermal aging life spans 100 years.
Environmental and radiation resistance
When overhead insulated cables are laid in the open air, the environmental and radiation resistance of the insulation material is more important. Radiation cross-linked insulation materials need to undergo radiation processing, and they themselves have good radiation resistance. The radiation dose applied during the cross-linking production process leaves a large safety margin from its destructive dose. In addition, with special formula improvements, the radiation cross-linking condition is still affected within an appropriate range of planning, so its function will be improved in the long early application process.
In summary, cross-linked cables play an important role in the power system due to their unique technology and excellent performance. I hope this article can provide some reference value for relevant personnel.
