For the circuit where the cable may catch fire and spread, leading to serious accidents, and the cable-dense places that are susceptible to external influences and fires, there should be appropriate fire resistance separation, and according to the importance of the cable line, the fire probability and its characteristics and economic and reasonable factors, determine the following fire prevention measures:
1) Implement flame retardant protection or prevent delayed ignition.
2) Select cables with flame resistance.
3) Implement fire protection or use fire-resistant cables.
4) Implement fire protection structure.
5) Add automatic alarm and special fire protection device.

(2) Fire resistance separation method
1) In the cable structure, the cable leads to the opening part of the electric cabinet, panel or control panel, and the cable runs through the hole of the partition wall and the floor.
2) In the cable tunnel or the important part of the cable trench of the important circuit, the wall should be set up.
3) In the shaft, it is appropriate to set a fire insulation layer every about 7m.
(3) Technical characteristics and methods for implementing fire resistance separation
1) Fire blocking, fire blocking layer setting, can use fire blocking material, filler or fire blocking bag, fire resistant partition, etc.; The floor shaft holes should be able to withstand the load of inspectors.
2) The composition of the fire barrier should be made of soft materials such as fire retardant bag, mineral wool block, or fire blocking material, fire-resistant partition, which is convenient for adding or replacing cables without damaging other cables, and has stability under the possible effect of water immersion or rodent damage.
3) In addition to leading to the main control room, factory wall or long distance cable tunnel, the fire resistance part separated by the ventilation section should be located outside the fire door, in other cases, there is no fire door when there are measures to prevent burning. By means of anti-channeling, fire retardant paint, tape, or fire baffle can be applied to all cables on both sides of the fire resistance immediately not less than the lm section.
(4) Enhance the fire safety method of non-combustible cables for open application
1) In places susceptible to external causes and fires, it is appropriate to implement flame retardant protection for the relevant range of cables; For important cable circuits, fire retarding sections can be set at appropriate locations to prevent delayed ignition. Flame retardant protection or fire retardant section, can be applied on the cable fire coating, tape, or when the number of cables is large, the use of flame retardant, fire resistant box or fire retardant bag.
2) In the cable on both sides of the joint of about 3m section and the range of other cables adjacent, it is appropriate to use fireproof tape to prevent delayed burning.
3) The fire-resistant protection method of the open-coated cable shall comply with the following provisions:
a. When the number of cables is small, fireproof paint, tape can be added to the cable or the cable through the fire-resistant tube.
b. If there are more cables in a channel, it is appropriate to lay them in a fire-resistant box, and the power cable should be ventilated. It can be semi-closed in an environment without flammable dust, and fire retardant bags can also be used when the cable protection section laid on the bridge is not long.
(5) Other fire prevention requirements
1) Close to the cable trench of high-voltage current, voltage transformer and other oil-bearing equipment, it is appropriate to seal the cover plate of the section trench.
2) In cable-dense places or closed channels with high safety requirements, monitoring and alarm, temperature measurement and fixed automatic fire extinguishing devices should be equipped.
3) The two or more incoming cables of the substation shall be arranged separately in independent or fire-separated channels.
4) The outlet cable of the substation should be divided. The number of cable channels should correspond to the number of main transformers.
5) The cables in the cable sandwich should be straightened out and fixed on the cable support one by one, and all cables should be arranged in the order of the outgoing warehouse. Cables should keep a certain distance from each other, do not overlap, and cross as little as possible. If they need to cross, they should be separated by a fireproof partition at the crossing point.
