Flame retardant cable according to the experimental standard (GB12666-99) can be divided into three grades: ZRA, ZRB, ZRC.
In the general product naming, ZRA is usually indicated by GZR, which is called high flame retardant cable or oxygen barrier cable or high flame retardant oxygen barrier cable. ZRC stands for ZR in general flame retardant products.
Flame retardant cable is to maintain the electrical and physical and chemical properties of ordinary cables at the same time, with self-extinguishing, that is, it is not easy to burn, or when the cable itself is on fire for some reason or an external fire source is ignited, the cable no longer continues to burn after the fire is extinguished, or the burning time is very short (within 60 minutes), or the burning length is very short.
Halogen free flame retardant cable has the advantages of low toxicity, low smoke and halogen free compared with halogen containing flame retardant cable. The flame retardant level is not high, basically Class C. The reason is that the energy efficiency of halogen free radicals is greater than that of non-halide flame retardants.
The oxygen barrier flame retardant technology is mainly filled with a layer of inorganic metal hydrate between the cable insulation core and the outer sheath of the cable, which is a white glue with no smell and no halogen. Fire-resistant cables can continue to work (transmit current and signals) in the event of a fire, and whether they themselves are burned or not is not included in the assessment. The flame-retardant cable stops working quickly in the event of a fire, and its function is that it is flame resistant and can self-extinguish without spreading.
The fire-resistant cable can maintain normal operation for 180 minutes at 750~800℃ flame combustion.
