1. The strand is divided into two kinds: regular and irregular stranding.
Regular stranding can be divided into regular concentric single strand stranding and regular concentric strand stranding regular concentric single strand stranding:
(1) Ordinary stranded wire: with a single wire of the same diameter, according to the way of concentric circles, a layer of regular twisted, each layer of twisted direction are opposite.

Regular concentric strand stranding: It is a concentric strand twisted by multiple ordinary strands or bundles of strands.
Irregular stranding (bundle) : a twisted wire formed by a number of single wires in the same twist direction and not twisted according to the law of stranding, the position between the single wires is not fixed to each other, and the shape of the bundle is difficult to keep round.
2, the biggest difference between the tow wire and the ordinary twisted wire is: the ordinary twisted wire each monofilament has a fixed position, and the layer by layer is twisted regularly; There is no fixed position between each monofilament of the tow wire and it is twisted together according to the law of stranding.
3, the characteristics of informal stranding (bundle) : because each single line in the bundle is twisted in one direction, the sliding margin between the single lines is large when bending, and the bending resistance is small, so the bending performance of the bundle is particularly good, for the need for soft, and often used to move the occasion of wire and cable products using the bundle as a conductive wire core.
4. Characteristics of stranded core:
(1) Good flexibility; The core composed of several small diameter monofilms can improve the bending ability of the cable and facilitate the processing, manufacturing and installation of the wire and cable.
(2) Good stability; Multiple monofilaments are twisted according to a certain direction and twisted rules. Because the position of each monofilaments in the twisted wire is in turn in the elongation area of the upper part of the twisted wire and the compression area of the lower part of the twisted wire, there will be no deformation when the twisted wire is bent.
(3) Good reliability; The conductor of the wire and cable with a single wire is easy to be affected by the non-uniformity of the material or the defects generated in the stranding and the reliability of the conductive core. The defects of the synthesized wire core with multiple single wires are dispersed and will not be concentrated on a certain point of the conductor, and the reliability of the conductive core is much stronger.
⑷ High strength; The strength of the stranded core is higher than that of the single wire with the same section size compared with multiple stranded cores.
5. Interpretation of terms:
(1) Pitch: the distance of one week forward of the monofilament extension shaft.
(2) Pitch diameter ratio: the ratio of the pitch length of the strand to the diameter of the strand.
(3) The relationship between pitch and strand softness: the smaller pitch the better the softness of strand, on the contrary, the greater the pitch the worse the softness of strand.
(4) stranding coefficient: in a pitch of the stranded wire, the ratio of the actual length of the monofilaments to the length of the pitch.

6. Purpose of compaction:

7. Conductor classification:
According to GB/T3956 "Conductor of cable" standard, conductors are divided into four kinds, namely, the first, the second, the fifth and the sixth. The first is a solid conductor, and the second is a twisted conductor, both of which are suitable for the conductor of the fixed laying cable; The fifth and sixth are stranded conductors, which are used for flexible cables and flexible wires, and the sixth is softer than the fifth.
